POLICY STATEMENTS


Fredriksen Maclean & Associates have continued to regard quality assurance as an essential component of the survey practice and maintain a quality management system which is reassessed regularly. The system is not third party audited but addressed all the key aspects of ISO 9001:2008.


In 2017, Fredriksen Maclean & Assoc. engaged IMSM, ISO specialists, to review our inhouse QA system. The revised system addresses all the elements of ISO 9001-2015.


Implementation of recommended changes is in progress and third party accreditation is expected in 2020.

  • Workplace Health & Safety

    WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY

    This policy recognizes the health and safety of all employees within Fredriksen Maclean & Associates is the responsibility of the firm’s management. In fulfilling this responsibility, management has a duty to provide and maintain so far as practical, a working environment that is safe and without risks to health.


    The owner is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of this policy and is committed to regular consultation with employees to ensure that the policy operates effectively, and health and safety issues are regularly reviewed.


    In recognizing the hazards occurring in the survey industry, Fredriksen Maclean & Associates will ensure that:


    • Specific policies operating within the firm are periodically revised
    • Regular assessments of health and safety performances are undertaken
    • Training, supervision and information on health and safety issues are provided to employees

    Employees:


    • Have a duty to take the care of which they are capable, for their own health and safety and of others affected by their actions at work
    • Must comply with safety procedures and directions
    • Must report accidents, incidents, potential and actual hazards, in accordance with the firm’s procedures

    The owner seeks the cooperation of all employees in realizing our health and safety objectives and create a safe work environment.

    ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

    This policy recognizes the responsibilities to the environment of employees of Fredriksen Maclean & Associates.


    The owners responsible for providing training in survey procedures and employee responsibilities which minimize the impact of surveying work on the environment.

    Employees must:


    • Utilise the surveying procedures provided by the firm
    • Consider and minimise the impact of their work on the environment
    • Dispose of any waste in an approved manner
    • Abide by any site-specific environmental policies
    • Report to management any significant environmental degradation whether accidental or unavoidable

    The owner seeks the cooperation of all employees in our responsibilities to the environment.

    Fredriksen Maclean & Associates endeavours to stay abreast of current technological developments and ensures that the most appropriate equipment is utilised for each job. The owner is committed to safety in the workplace and has developed and implemented safe work procedures which are reviewed regularly to ensure and maintain a safe system of work.
